LAPhotobooth Naughty Librarian Party
After seven years of higher education I recently received my Master’s degree in Library and Information Science. To celebrate I invited fifty of my friends and acquaintances to come to my house and party with me dressed in the finest librarian garb. Everyone looked fantastic in their starched white shirts, black plastic glasses and sensible shoes. Justin was there early and was testing his set up on the very first guests who arrived to my party. Despite that the set up appeared simple and obtrusive, the lighting made everyone look fantastic.
As more of guests arrived, the photobooth was the main point of activity at the party. A consistent, happy and laughing crowd of people formed around the camera and lingered there until early in the morning. I couldn’t believe how glamourous everyone looked in their photos. Justin had also brought along a box of props (wigs, costumes, picture frames, etc.) which worked to inspire my guest’s creativity even further.
The best part of the photobooth was not actually the photos that were produced, although they were absolutely killer, but the mood that it lent to the rest of the party. People were much more engaged with my event after they had their photo taken. People were dancing, mingling and talking almost immediately as opposed to most parties where it takes a long time to get the atmosphere just right.
There are a lot of companies that set up photobooths at events but I have never seen such an effective and beautiful set up like LAPhotobooth. Check out my photos in the gallery under the “Naughty Librarian Party”. Don’t worry, it is only PG rated.
